Dev Anand died of a heart attack. Dev Anand was 88 year old. He was not keeping well for the last few days. He left for London 2 weeks ago for medical check-up and died after a heart attack in London hotel at 10PM (03.30 AM IST) where he was staying with his son, Sunil.
“His son Sunil came out of the bathroom and saw that Dev saab was not responding. He called the doctor, who said that he had a heart attack. He died at 10 in the night in London,” Mohan Churiwala, Dev Anand’s manager, said.
Mohan Churiwala also said “He will be cremated in London only after Tuesday. Cremation cannot take place till his daughter reaches there. His body is kept in a hospital right now,”. His wife may also accompany her daughter.
Dev Anand gave brilliant films like Guide, Hum Dono, Kala Pani, Tere Ghar Ke Samne, Gambler, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Jewel Thief in his evergreen film career of 65 years.
