Rajesh Khanna passed away. The first superstar of Bollywood Rajesh Khanna passed away on Wednesday afternoon at his residence Aashirwad in Mumbai. This was his third hospitalisation since he was diagnosed with a kidney problem. He was not responding to medicines, and had been put on IV and had been grasping for breath since morning. He had been put on life support. He was 69 years old.
The actor’s condition had been deteriorating since April when stopped eating and had complained of weakness. He was admitted to Lilavati Hospital twice in the past month.
Rajesh Khanna was born on December 29, 1942. His real name was Jatin Khanna. His debut film was Aakhri Khat in 1966. He acted in 163 films out of which he played lead role in 106 films. Rajesh Khanna won 3 Filmfare Best Actor Awards and the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award.
Rajesh Khanna got married to Dimple Kapadia at the age of 31 in March 1973 and seperated in 1984. He has two daughters Twinkle and Rinkie.
