With an album like Khall Balli, you don't know if Sajid-Wajid are making music for Salman Khan fans or if they're trying to give Himesh Reshammiya sleepless nights by composing music that you will hear being blasted only in autorickshaws.
The title track begins with an Eastern feel, and then becomes the usual Sajid-Wajid fare, with Wajid singing with Neeraj Sridhar. Neither the lyrics or music are anything to get excited about, though the music gets interesting for about 2-3 seconds at some point.
Zhala Menu Zhala (help!) has Maharashtrian-style modern music and lyrics in Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi and English, and if Wajid's vocals don't do it for you, there's a bleating goat on this one. As if to show they mean business, there's guitar distortion that lasts a few seconds to let us know Sajid-Wajid need us to take this song seriously.
Neeraj Sridhar woos Sunidhi Chauhan on Bhuri Bhuri, and this sounds a whole lot better than the goat's duet with Wajid. There's good bass on this, and I don't even mind the rapping. Bhuri Bhuri is a good composition, but the guy who's rapping says 'brown-eyed girl' towards the end, and bhuri means 'light-eyed'!
