D J Caruso's Eagle Eye comes from the mind of the mighty Steven Spielberg, and this is reason enough for everyone to sit up and pay attention.

Jerry Shaw (Shia LaBeouf) is an aimless fellow facing financially tough times. He receives a call from his mother informing him of his twin brother Ethan's untimely death. At the funeral, Jerry gets a $1000 cheque from his father, who he doesn't see eye to eye with. When Jerry deposits the cheque and tries to withdraw money, he finds his account contains $750,000 and takes it all.

On returning to his apartment, Jerry finds his bank account wasn't the only thing that contained more than it should've, for his apartment is filled with material used to make explosives. Jerry's phone rings and a female voice informs him to get away before the FBI, who are on their way, find him. He doesn't heed her advice and gets arrested by Agent Thomas Morgan (Billy Bob Thornton) and Air Force Office of Special Investigations Special Agent Zoe Perez (Rosario Dawson).

The female voice helps Jerry escape the FBI's clutches, and teams him up with Rachel Holloman (Michelle Monaghan), a single mother who is being forced to helping Jerry as the female voice is holding her son's life ransom. The female voice instructs the pair throughout, helping them avoid and outsmart the police, demonstrating absolute control over networking devices of all kinds...

There is no way you can go in to watch Eagle Eye unless you make it clear to yourself you expect nothing more than entertainment from it. The movie gets so unrealistic at times, you may feel like looking at people around you to see if they feel stupid for watching it, and
