A Marathi film on capital punishment produced by two Goan women has been selected for an American film festival scheduled to be held in San Fransisco next month.
'Mare Paryant Fashi', a Marathi fiction flick, produced by the Goan duo-- Dr Pramod Salgaoncar and Jyoti Cuncolienkar has been selected for the Golden Gate Fiction and documentary Festival to be held at California, USA. "We were pleasantly surprised to receive an email informing us about the selection," Dr Salgaoncar, who is also a Chairman of Goa Women's commission, told PTI.
"The jury will display the films for evaluation, in the approved digital format. There will be no public screenings, the results will be announced by Internet and distributed by international press media," the email written by organisers to the filmmakers reads.
