Not many are aware that Sanjay Gadhvi was supposed to start Kidnap for Yash Raj, soon after Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai in 2002. "I wanted to make it with Sanjay Dutt and Uday Chopra, but when Sanju expressed his inability to shell out bulk dates [he was busy till 2004], Adi [Aditya Chopra] suggested a stop-gap film with actors who were easily accessible then. No one knew that the stop-gap film [Dhoom] would turn out to be such a rage, a trend-setter," Sanjay Gadhvi smiles.
